Smoky Pumpkin & Black Sesame Seed Hummus

This Smoky Pumpkin & Black Sesame Seed Hummus is the perfect fall appetizer or an easy dinner with a side of chopped veggies and chips. This orange and black dip is also festive and perfect for Halloween parties!

Ingredients

  • 2 15.5 oz cans chickpeas , drained and rinsed
  • 1 15 oz can of pureed pumpkin
  • 1 Tbsp smoked paprika
  • Juice from 1 lemon
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/4 cup olive oil + more for drizzling
  • sea salt / pepper , to taste
  • Black sesame seeds , for garnish
  • Crackers , for serving

Instructions

  1. Place chickpeas, pumpkin puree, paprika, lemon, and garlic in a high speed blender or food processor. Turn on and slowly add in olive oil while the machine is running. Process until smooth and silky, about 3 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  2. Transfer to a small serving bowl or rimmed dish and spread out evenly. Use the back of a spoon to create a swirl indent in the dip and drizzle olive oil into it. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  3. Serve right away with crackers or stick in the fridge until ready to serve.
